Hyaluronic acid treatments Krakow

Hyaluronic acid is a compound that is physiologically found in our body; its role is to hydrate the skin and provide it with adequate elasticity and firmness. The unique properties of hyaluronic acid result from the ability to bind water. The size of the synthesis of hyaluronic acid in the body decreases with age – and its reduced content in the skin leads to a decrease in the skin elasticity, dryness and the appearance of wrinkles. Hyaluronic acid is successfully used in aesthetic medicine to rejuvenate the face – it allows to smooth wrinkles, make lips fuller or improve the face oval (face volumetry).

Filling wrinkles and furrows

Hyaluronic acid treatments can be used to smooth wrinkles. Filling the wrinkles with hyaluronic acid involves injecting wrinkles and furrows with hyaluronic acid preparation, which gives an immediate rejuvenating effect. Just after the treatment, you can notice the effect of smoother skin and reduced visibility of even deep furrows. Hyaluronic acid used for the face corrects:

  • nasolabial folds
  • tear troughs
  • lion’s wrinkles
  • forehead wrinkles
  • marionette lines
  • wrinkles around the eyes

Modeling – lip enhancement

Such preparation treatment enables correction of the lips shape and size. Hyaluronic acid lips modelling gives the opportunity to enlarge the lips, improve their shape, correct asymmetry. At the same time, thanks to the moisturizing properties of hyaluronic acid, it is possible to rejuvenate the mouth area. In addition, hyaluronic acid preparations enable the correction of facial features – nose shape, cheeks volume, jaw line and falling corners of the mouth. Which hyaluronic acid is the best for lip modelling? One of the best preparations containing hyaluronic acid is Restylane, containing synthetic hyaluronic acid. This crystal-clear gel contains hyaluronic acid subjected to a stabilization process, which significantly slows down the degradation of hyaluronic acid by the hyaluronidase present in the body. It is a clinically tested preparation (one of the few on the market with the FDA certificate), which is distinguished by the safety of use and excellent results. In the interest of safety and spectacular effects, we offer this preparation to patients in our clinic.

The course of the procedure

The procedure consists in introducing a specific volume of the preparation intradermally, using a thin needle. The procedure isn’t highly painful; it is possible to use local cream anaesthesia. The treatment lasts a dozen or several tens of minutes, and the effect is immediately noticeable. Transient self-resolving redness and swelling may occur. After injecting hyaluronic acid it is important to follow the appropriate post-treatment recommendations. Among others, recommendations relate to avoiding exposure to the sun, giving up the sauna, swimming pool and intense physical exercise. In addition, massaging or touching the injected areas is not recommended. However, before the procedure the most important recommendation is to avoid the use of drugs that reduce blood clotting.

Complications after applying hyaluronic acid

Hyaluronic acid treatments are very safe. Of course, the basis for hyaluronic acid treatments safety is their implementation only in renowned aesthetic medicine clinics, using certified preparations. The use of synthetic preparations of hyaluronic acid minimizes the risk of allergy. Some patients are worried that after injecting hyaluronic acid clots will appear. Such a complication occurs only due to the administration of too large a volume, injection of a too dense agent or injection of the acid too shallow or too deep. Such erroneous injections of hyaluronic acid don’t take place in aesthetic medicine clinics, where a qualified specialist performs the treatment.

The most important contraindications for the use of hyaluronic acid are pregnancy and breast-feeding, cancer, autoimmune diseases, the use of anticoagulants or decompensated diabetes, as well as the keloids tendency.

Hyaluronic Acid – Effects Procedures with hyaluronic acid are safe and effective, and the results can be noticed immediately. Preparations used in such procedures moisturize the skin and fill the wrinkles, and also all types of collapses on the face, furrows and chin dimples. With hyaluronic acid we may also correct the shape of the face, collapsing cheeks or temples, and also model lips. Hyaluronic acid preparations slowly decompose until they are completely absorbed. That is why, if we want the effect to sustain, the procedure should be repeated after about 9 to 12 months.
