Laser tattoo removal is an increasingly common procedure designed to completely remove or significantly reduce the visibility of an unwanted tattoo.\u00a0The final effect of tattoo removal depends on many factors that apply to the tattoo itself as well as the properties of the laser used. Most lasers enable to remove darker pigments, however, it may be problematic to remove red, pink, purple or yellow dyes. Neodymium-yag lasers used in\u00a0tattoo removal<\/strong>\u00a0emit a beam of light at a wavelength of 1064 nm. Dark pigments absorb the laser light.
